Overview

The Internal HR Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies that align with the organization’s goals and enhance employee engagement. This role focuses on ensuring consistent, clear, and effective communication within the organization, promoting HR initiatives, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The manager will manage the SharePoint homepage (intranet), outline key messages such as Goals, Values, and Initiatives, and establish regular leadership communication routines. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to support organizational change, drive internal campaigns, and maintain alignment with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with HR leadership, marketing, and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between HR and other departments to ensure alignment of messaging and communication efforts
  • Develop and execute communication plans for HR-related crisis situations, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to employees.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers and leaders on effective internal communication practices.
  • Develop resources and tools to help managers communicate more effectively with their teams.
  • Establish regular leadership communication routines to ensure consistent and transparent messaging across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders in delivering clear and impactful messages to their teams.Other duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement internal HR communication strategies that support organizational objectives and enhance employee understanding of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Align communication strategies with broader organizational goals and the company's mission and values.
  • Manage and update the SharePoint homepage (intranet), ensuring that it serves as a central hub for internal communications.
  • Create, edit, and manage content for various communication channels, including email, intranet, newsletters, and social media in collaboration with our Marketing team.
  • Outline and communicate key messages regularly, including the organization’s Goals, Values, and Initiatives.
  • Create a process as well as templates to help streamline the development and execution of messaging and communication.
  • Create and manage HR Communications calendar as well as assisting leaders develop their department calendars.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and employee recognition programs.
  • Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, HR communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing internal communication strategies.
  • Experience with change management and crisis communication is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including SharePoint, intranet systems, and social media.
  • Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and employee engagement strategies.
