Overview: Responsible for writing body shop damage estimates, negotiating with customers/insurance adjusters, and all related accounting functions, while performing other income-related activities in the absence of the body shop manager. Responsibilities: * Greet customers promptly and give fair estimates on cost and time required for bodywork. Break down estimates into labor and parts before job is started. * Follow standard operating procedures with DRP programs. * Schedule appointments and transportation for customers with rental agency and/or Hoffman shuttle service. * Document daily in CCC1 & DealerTrack. * Communicate effectively with customer/insurance/technician throughout the repair process. Prepare supplements and obtain insurance company approval in a timely fashion. * Revise and approve time allowances for each job. * Follow-up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability. Keep track of returned parts, credits, etc. * Answer phone calls, set up appointments, and take messages as necessary. * Monitor quality control throughout the repair process. * Follow all policies and procedures as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act policy. * Prepare final billing for completed repair orders. Perform cashiering duties, along with accounts receivable follow up. Maintain accounts receivables below sixty (60) days. * Meet training requirements. Qualifications: * Appraiser's license required * High School Diploma * 1-2 years' experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred * Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset * Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement * Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening. * Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
