    Role Summary

    The Manager, Digital Content will help lead the execution of the strategy and digital content plan for MSG Live, including but not limited to concerts and events at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The Manager will assist the Director on all creative campaign development and ideation, and work alongside colleagues in creative services to develop and tactically program all external-facing content. S/he must have superb written skills, an impeccable attention to detail and the ability to craft social voice for all MSG venues that is: on-brand, authentic, elevated and relatable. Candidate has a deep working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram/Stories, and YouTube. S/he will be able to communicate the Company’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected ticket buyers. S/he will collaborate with Marketing Strategy leads to execute a cohesive and engaging social media strategy across MSG venues and Sports Properties.

    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Develop and execute the creation of content for social media – including but not limited to - copy, video, graphics, GIFS – and manage day-to-day workflow; includes working effectively with design, production and PR teams, as well as representatives from within the Marketing Strategy team for approvals
    • Develop and maintain content calendars for MSG venues on social media – which includes attending content planning meetings and brainstorming sessions, taking notes, scheduling and publishing, community management and maintenance
    • Oversee and execute social media reporting – on the performance of all day to day posts, campaigns and social listening, including competitive performance, as requested by the Director (which could be as much as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis)
    • Live event coverage on site, as needed; after-hours coverage may be required
    • Liase with Marketing Partnerships on content execution; track content requirements and fulfillment (volume, inclusions, etc.)
    • Liase with Sports Properties on content execution for boxing, MMA, college basketball and other events

    Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate has a strong background and varied experience in content creation and development in the digital space, an enthusiasm for entertainment and pop culture as well as a deep knowledge of live entertainment in real-time
    • Avidly follows digital trends and new technologies.
    • S/he is a creative thinker and a strong writer with a clear natural style
    • 4+ years of content/editorial experience in the digital field
    • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and collaboration skills
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines
    • A sound knowledge of the digital space, social media, emerging tech, voice, podcasts, and related technologies
    • Proactive, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, unassailable focus on the basics, accountable, enthusiastic, able to follow detailed instructions
    • Ability to balance multiple, competing directions and manage multiple projects successfully
    • Proficient in Google Docs, MS Office, KeyNote, Adobe Photoshop; well-versed in social publishing and analytic platforms

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
