    The Senior Content & Publicity Specialist leads the execution of brand publicity and content marketing efforts across earned and owned media for the Enterprise, Alamo, and National car rental brands. This position is responsible for managing vendor relationships, social media marketing, content creation, media/influencer relations and community management, ensuring the brands' messages are effectively delivered in the external environment. This position will also leverage his/her writing and creative skills, along with community management skills, to bring exposure to the Enterprise Holdings' car rental brands.

    This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.


    • Lead the vendor selection process, including social media management and listening tools.
    • Maintain relationships with appropriate journalist and bloggers; lead proactive and reactive brand media influencer relation efforts.
    • Serve as a mentor to junior team members; develop standards, processes, and training documents for the team.
    • create and present key and actionable metrics and make recommendations for improving engagement and content.
    • Develop content for owned digital and social properties including conception, creation, monitoring and reporting, working closely with search, creative, media buying and analytics.
    • Draft and/or edit brand publicity materials including messaging, tweets, Facebook posts, press releases, pitch letters, web article content, influencer blog posts, etc.
    • Monitor relevant cultural trends to spark online conversations and inform future content.
    • Meet with key vendors to understand what is new and evolving in social media tools.
    • Manage our social media communities by participating in online conversations on behalf of the brand to ensure two-way dialogue; seek ways to continually engage current and potential customers and community members, ensuring consistency with brand voice.
    • Tag content to adhere to best practices and help drive viewability.
    • Stay abreast of, and adhere to, best practices, platform policy guidelines, rules of participation etc. to remain relevant and up-to-date in a quickly changing social media landscape; help to educate internal stakeholders and employees about the social media landscape.
    • Maintain Enterprise Holdings brand standards and ensure all communications comply with these standards.

    • Bachelor’s Degree  Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
    • Five years of public relations, communications, content creation, journalism, community management and/or social media marketing experience required
    • Previous experience with online social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn required
    • Community management, content development, media buying, design and/or search engine optimization experience preferred
    • Creative, design and/or editorial experience preferred
    • Agency experience preferred
