				Overview:

The Workforce Development Coordinator will be a team member of MACNY'S Workforce Development team and will provide services in support of Partners Education and Business and the Manufacturers Association of CNY.

Responsibilities:

* Represent MACNY and PEB programs to employers and educators and heighten awareness within the region about the organizations' purpose. This includes enhancing existing and developing new partnerships
* Represent MACNY and PEB in related organizations (CNY STEM Hub, CNY Technology Sector)
* Serve on P-TECH Steering Committees as required.
* Participate in MACNY and PEB Events, including Manufacturing Day (in alignment with State and National celebrations) and PEB Annual Award
* Solicit participation in program activities from employers for mentoring, presentations, job shadowing, internships, and ultimately employment.
* Prepare schedules, work-based learning calendars and reports as necessary.
* Author newsletter and magazine articles representing the Workforce Development Team as requested.
* Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) as needed to help develop new materials.
* Build relationships with educators and manufactures to develop youth apprenticeship and apprenticeship opportunities for students and companies. 
* Assist with the enrollment of apprentices to include maintenance in the appropriate systems for those individuals.
* Maintain apprenticeship records, both internally and externally, to include company training records and DOL reporting criteria
* Share information and guidance regarding the benefits of an apprenticeship program with students, educators, and industry leaders through participation in business and industry events and gatherings.
* This position will report to both the Associate Director of PEB and the Associate Director of Apprenticeship

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule with occasional overtime, and/or evening work. 
* Salary plus full benefit package including health, dental, life and disability plans, employer contribution to 401k, paid time off and more.
* Local travel within the CNY area

A background check will be required

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* Experience in a teaching or training role.  
* Practical knowledge of career and educational options desired 
* Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with social media and electronic media and communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
