Schatz Bearing Corporation (Poughkeepsie, NY)  manufactures specialty ball bearings used in various industries with high standards for quality and performance - including Aerospace & Defense, Machine Tool, Automation & Robotics, and Medical Equipment.  We are a rapidly growing company with a need to increase our manufacturing and customer support capabilities in order to accommodate market demand. This is an excellent position for someone with assembly experience who is eager to learn more and grow with the company. 

Full-time position Monday Through Thursday 6:00am - 3:30pm, Fridays 6:00am - 10:00am,with occasional overtime when needed.

After successful completion of 90 day introduction period, benefits include 10 paid holidays, paid sick days, bonus day eligibility, medical, dental, life insurance, employer 401K match, earn up to 2 weeks of  paid vacation after 1 year, and more.


Primary responsibilities are setting up Assembly Cells with all necessary tooling, gaging, and equipment to build precision ball bearings.  We utilize Lean Manufacturing methods at Schatz so timely set-ups and changeovers are a must!

* Work with small power tools, hand tools and customized and bearing specific equipment
* Support assemblers with adjustments or enhancements throughout the process to accomplish goals
* Quickly assess, troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise


Previous Assembly experience is required for this role, Lean Manufacturing experience is a big plus

You must have:

* A demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
* An eye for detail and work well with others, in a fast paced production environment.              
* Strong mechanical/technical aptitude 
* General Computer Skills (MS Office, Access, and Excel a plus)
*  Manufacturing experience
