Overview: WHNP/CNM - Vibrant South Florida - North Miami Beach Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group seeks a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife to join its Maternal Fetal Medicine practice in North Miami Beach. * Growing, well-established MFM practice is seeking a WHNP or CNM to support the solo practice MFM physician * Office based practice, consultative only, no delivery service * Located in North Miami Beach with convenient commuter access to several highways * Practice provides support to general OBGYN physicians and midwives in North Miami Beach and neighboring communities * We enjoy a collaborative relationship with our OBGYNs, Midwives, Neonatology colleagues and hospital partners at Jackson North and Memorial Healthcare, to provide outstanding local perinatal care * Responsibilities include co-management of high-risk patients including those with diabetes, hypertension, history of preterm labor, preeclampsia, twins (multiples), and congenital fetal anomalies * Weekday schedule 8:30am - 5pm with no on-call shifts required * Ideal candidate will have several years of WHNP or CNM experience with high-risk maternity patients and a Florida medical license * Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is a plus About Miami: * South Florida boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including South Beach, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and boating * Home to several professional sports teams, including the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins and Miami Marlins * Residents from around the world create a unique, vibrant community, with various languages, foods and traditions * Booming nightlife scene, with numerous clubs, bars and restaurants; live music; dancing; and many opportunities to enjoy evenings out * Thriving art and culture scene, with various museums, galleries and cultural events, including the well-known Art Basel festival, attracting worldwide artists and collectors * Known as a shopping paradise with renowned Bal Harbour Shops and Aventura Mall, Miami is a popular shopping destination * Numerous parks and natural preserve offer countless activities throughout the year, such as hiking, biking and kayaking * A gateway to Latin America, providing opportunities to explore new cultures * Nearly a half million residents call Miami home, with a metro populous of 6.2 million * Tropical climate, with warm temperatures year-round - an average high during the summer of 90 F and highs around 76 F in the winter - making it an ideal place to live for those who enjoy being outside year-round Qualifications: * Current APRN national specialty certification as a WHNP or as a CNM * Minimum of a master's degree
