Overview:
The Warehouse Specialist Technician is responsible for preparing, handling, shipping, receiving, and documenting cargo-including classified materials-for air and sea transport between Patrick Space Force Base and Ascension Auxiliary Airfield. This includes mail, supplies, and mission-critical equipment in accordance with U.S. Department of Defense and Air Force regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Receive, store, inventory, and prepare cargo-including classified, durable food, and sensitive materials-for shipment by air and sea.
* Load and unload cargo at Patrick SFB and support unloading, delivery, and retrograde operations at Ascension Island.
* Perform packaging, consolidation, and skid preparation per AF and DTR standards.
* Handle deliveries and pickups from PSFB USPO, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
* Prepare shipping documentation such as DD Form 1384 (TCMD) and submit to 45 LRS cargo section.
* Conduct supply discrepancy reporting (SDR) IAW DLMS Vol 2, Chap 17.
* Support preparation and submission of manifests for passengers and cargo.
* Ensure compliance with DAFI 24-602 V2, AFMAN 24-604, IATA, and IMDG.
* Assist with lodging and transportation coordination for personnel via PSFB and AAAF.
* Operate material handling equipment (MHE) and follow all safety protocols.
* Respond to REPSHP notifications and ensure timely reporting of classified package handling using DD Form 1907.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse or cargo transport/logistics.
* Current or eligible Secret clearance.
* Familiarity with Air Force logistics regulations and procedures.
* Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or other MHE (certification preferred).
* Proficient in basic computer skills and cargo documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Military or federal contractor experience in cargo/military logistics.
* Training in HAZMAT, packaging, or classified cargo handling.
