Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Safety Specialist will support our warehouse safety and compliance programs within the Distribution Center. The Warehouse Safety Specialist is an extension of our management team and the core focus is to ensure the appropriate processes and protocols are in place to maintain the company's safety philosophy and culture. The Warehouse Safety Specialist is a leader with safety know-how, business acumen, and the ability to positively influence outcomes that drive results within the safety department. The Warehouse Safety Specialist will work closely with the National Safety Manager and the Operations Management team to provide support related to safety, compliance and risk.
Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED Required.
* Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
* Warehouse experience Required.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point are required
* OSHA-10 Hour Certification preferred.
Qualifications / Additional Skills /Aptitude:
* Contribute and support to the overall goals of the Operations Department.
* Takes initiative and works well independently.
* Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
* Able to work effectively with peers, region and corporate leadership, in a productive collaborative environment coupled with the ability to be decisive.
* Must be highly motivated to enhance knowledge in the field and motivated to progress
* Must stay current on all local, state, and federal rules and regulations as they pertain to OSHA safety and compliance.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
