Responsibilities:

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Outbound Operations Manager to lead outbound logistics and fulfillment within a high-volume warehouse operation. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing outbound teams, and spearheading warehouse improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong analytical and project management skills, capable of delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and cost control.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

* Team Leadership & Management
* Supervise outbound teams and departments.
* Adjust staffing levels based on volume forecasts and operational needs.
* Coach and mentor team leads and frontline staff to meet performance goals.

* Operational Oversight
* Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
* Identify and resolve bottlenecks, to reduce overtime and improve throughput.
* Collaborate with inbound teams to maintain inventory accuracy and availability.

* Performance & Productivity
* Monitor productivity and other key metrics to identify underperformance and training needs.
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Lead efforts to reduce wasted time, through proactive planning and execution.

* Warehouse Improvement Projects
* Lead and manage cross-functional projects aimed at improving warehouse layout, workflow, and technology utilization.
* Develop project plans, timelines, and success metrics; ensure timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

* Compliance & Safety
* Ensure outbound operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with inbound, inventory control, and warehouse leadership to ensure seamless operations.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align outbound priorities with broader business goals.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations, with a focus on outbound logistics.
* Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with productivity tracking tools is a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to early mornings or evenings, as needed.
* Experience with pick-and-pass and other fulfillment models.
* Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and labor management tools.
* Project management experience; PMP certification or similar is a plus.
* Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
