Responsibilities: The Warehouse Operation Manger is responsible for all functions of the warehouse including: shipping, receiving, inventory control, administering policies and programs and maintaining supplies for the Distribution center. Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following: * Ensuring warehouse is equipped with racking, proper lighting, heat and air, proper work environment and any other warehouse related items * Shipping UPS/FED EX/international/trucking control * Receiving, including quality control * Sourcing, negotiating and maintaining lowest freight rate and costs * Managing the contractor compliance program * Supervising and training warehouse personnel * Other duties as determined by the needs of the business Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Valid driver's license. * Forklift Certification. * Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. * Ability to work well in a team environment and create a team work environment by communicating effectively between shift/department. * Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly. * Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and situations. * Ability to prioritize workload on a daily basis. * Knowledge of Quality Procedures. * Packaging experience a plus. * Mechanical aptitude for high speed packaging equipment. * Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
