Responsibilities:
SoftwareOne is seeking a VMware Architect to join our Technology Services team, playing a critical role in driving the success of our virtualization projects. As part of the Technology Services (TS) practice, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale VMware projects. This senior-level role requires a consultant with extensive experience in VMware environments, infrastructure, licensing, and TCO consulting, focused on ensuring the quality and consistency of our services by following standardized methodologies.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement hybrid vSphere architectures, delivering end-to-end virtualization solutions.
* Advise clients through each project phase, providing expertise on best practices and implementation.
* Design, implement, and manage complex VMware-based infrastructures, including virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
* Develop and maintain VMware architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within VMware environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless VMware solution integration.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware advancements and industry best practices.
Focus on Cloud and Hybrid Environments:
* Design and optimize hybrid cloud solutions using VMware technologies to maximize performance and cost-effectiveness.
* Create strategies for workload migration between public and private cloud environments.
* Ensure high standards of security and compliance across hybrid cloud infrastructures
Qualifications:
*
* Over 5 years of experience with VMware technologies.
* Strong knowledge of storage and network management.
* Expertise in creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines, including resource allocation, storage, and networking.
* Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English (B2 level).
* Strong self-management skills and the ability to work autonomously on projects.
* Quick to learn new technologies with the ability to lead initiatives independently.
* Proficiency in VLANs, Backup, Active Directory, ESX, and Cluster configurations.
* Cloud experience and knowledge of other virtualization platforms are highly valued.
* Preferred experience with vSan, vRealize Suite, NSX, Site Recovery Manager, and HCX.
* VMware certifications are a plus.
