Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
Our Vice President of Human Resources will lead the talent management life-cycle and team member engagement. The incumbent also has experience in a union environment and with negotiations.
* Ensures the company practices are compliant with all laws and regulations affecting human resource activities.
* Recommends policy changes when appropriate and directs and coordinates human resources activities.
* Create and maintain a respectful environment.
* Build and lead a high performance team, establish a "learning" environment within and outside the department.
* Think strategically and make independent decisions with "green fields".
* Provide direction and prepare annual strategic plan for human resource activities.
* Analyze wage and salary and benefits reports and data to determine competitive plan.
* Prepare staffing forecast to project employment needs.
* Administer bargaining unit agreement.
* Write directives and or responses advising department managers and or regulatory bodies of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, compliance, and employee benefits.
* Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
* Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
* Direct training and quality programs to ensure strategic deployment of human resources.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university, plus ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
* Minimum three (3) years of experience at a senior/executive level, including experience in recruitment, training, engagement, talent management, and employee/labor relations required.
* Experience interpreting and implementing statutory and or regulatory codes applicable to Human Resources and our industry.
* Extensive experience planning and executing strategic plans.
* Understanding for quality programs but with a desire to ensure the company's systems and processes are the best they can be.
* Certifications and/or direct experience in any of the HR functional areas is strongly considered, PHR or SPHR professional designation preferred
* Prior experience in the gaming industry is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
