Vice President, Software Development

				Overview:

Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO). We provide Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Responsibilities:

* Recognize business needs and identify software solutions that enable both internal and external customers to manage their processes more effectively and efficiently;
* Ensure the timely delivery and development of propriety applications utilized in clinical trials, lab operations, and other business functions;
* Hire and lead teams of engineers to build/rebuild comprehensive and competitive clinical trial management software and modernize systems with Microsoft technologies;
* Oversee the training, evaluation and retention of Software Development staff; and
* Analyze new and existing technologies to evolve and improve current software applications and technology.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area;
* 10+ years of software development leadership experience;
* Proven experience managing projects and teams and delivering software solutions on time and under budget;
* Technical development experience within the Microsoft tech stack, including experience in web-based technologies such as Angular;
* Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills;
* Experiencing leading global teams preferred; and
* Experience in a clinical or regulated environment preferred.
