Overview:
The Vice President - Project Executive develops and implements a plan to deliver the required project and services in the most effective and efficient manner possible, with the support of the project teams and input from external stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing all company contact with new and existing clients. The Project Executive may oversee a single large project or multiple projects. This position is responsible for generating business, negotiating contracts, estimating, bidding, profit/loss of assigned projects, and supervision of project management staff.

* Client Delight: Builds relationships with individuals within client organizations to coordinate work and make decisions at the appropriate level for the short-term project and long-term partnership.
* Risk and Opportunity Management: Identifies potential risks related to operations, contracts, or project execution. Develops mitigation plans and strategies to control the impact of negative situations or to maximize opportunities throughout the life cycle of a project.
* Business Development - Operations: Analyzes client needs and applies market knowledge to determine business growth opportunities. Develops and oversees the implementation of strategies and action plans to target and pursue additional business with existing clients and new business opportunities.
* Commercial Management: Negotiates and manages development and execution of the client's prime contract as well as subcontracts and vendor agreements. Develops, monitors, tracks, and negotiates project costs to ensure projects are successful and profitable. Ensures the financial interests of the company are protected while maintaining positive client relationships.
* Construction Drawings / Plans: Reads and understands construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Outlines specifications required for submission to client and ensures submittals are approved.
* Design Management - Building: Manages design process and relationships between design and construction to ensure the designer delivers quality, budget conscious, and complete documents on schedule.
* Forecasting: Creates and validates financial forecasts of costs for upcoming activities and projects.
* Subcontractor Management: Monitors, inspects subcontractor activities to ensure they are performing the work safely, are adhering to schedule, and are producing quality work to ensure they are in line with subcontractor agreements and our client contract obligations.
Has advanced knowledge and ability to coach/guide others in:
* Building and Construction Knowledge: Applies building and construction knowledge, including history, customers, competitive environment, and materials and methods to build quality projects safely.
* Construction Documentation: Creates documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
* Preconstruction Planning - Project Management Building: Partners with preconstruction group to plan the project for success (e.g., procurement, logistics planning, scope reviews, budgeting and costing).
* Safety - Project Management Building: Promotes and supports our care for life value, ensuring adherence to safety expectations and standards for self and others' work. This includes avoiding taking unnecessary safety risks, and being aware of conditions that affect employee safety.
* Schedule Management - Project Management Building: Develops, manages, and maintains schedules and timelines. Provides project management and schedulers with information about issues in the field that may impact timelines to make sure that contractual obligations are being met.
* Site Logistics: Develops, approves, and communicates site logistics plans, verifying they are in place and clearly understood. Ensures that projects are proceeding according to plan.
Has demonstrated proficiency in:
* Quality Management - Project Management Building: Develops a project-specific, quality management plan, monitors work sites, and identifies and addresses concerns or issues that do not meet quality standards. Completes quality work documentation and forms to ensure compliance with contracts.

* Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, as well as with parties external to the organization, including customers or vendors.
* Influence's others to accept job function's view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
* Communicates with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
* May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function.
* May at times be required to negotiate regarding operational issues.
Leadership and Talent Management:
* Manages Key Operational Sub Department for an entire country, region, function, or critical project that includes multiple teams led by directors/senior directors and managers.
* Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the key sub-department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish the key sub-departmental business results.
* Typically, has hiring, firing, promotion, and reward authority within own area, in accordance with Corporate Guidelines.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree - [INSERT RELEVANT AREAS] or equivalent experience and minimum 15 years prior relevant experience
* Requires advanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross department project teams or manage across multiple functions.
* Typically has mastery within a specific technical or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.
