Overview:
The Vice President, Cyber will help coordinate and oversee commercial and underwriting operations for AmTrust's cyber risk and insurance business, with specific responsibility for managing the distribution of AmTrustCyber products and offerings across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will develop a broad knowledge of the group operations and will be able to oversee the growth of the business for which he or she is responsible and will support the profitable growth of cyber insurance business. In addition to understanding AmTrustCyber's strategy and goals, the successful candidate will maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values and will uphold the standards of the AmTrust organization. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Cyber - Head of Underwriting Management.
Responsibilities:
* Develops a solid understanding of AmTrustCyber's strategy to help identify opportunities and foresee challenges.
* Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
* Works with business prospects and distribution partners to support business development efforts with third party distribution channels
* Acts as the lead contact with third party stakeholders
* Participates in the selection of program markets and manage those market relationships
* Oversees negotiations, implementation and day-to-day business process flow
* Stays current with emerging cyber risk, security trends, and insurance market conditions
* Operates within established underwriting authority and guidelines
* Assists with product development, data capture and analysis
* Liaises with compliance to coordinate product filings, admitted/surplus requirements
* Works with marketing to create messaging and materials to promote business development
* Liaises with IT and other internal/external stakeholders on developing technological solutions to support the business
* Collaborates with sales teams to promote business development
* Coordinates platform integration and functionality for new and existing products
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* 7+ years of industry-related experience
* Strong supervisory and leadership skills
* Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills
* Ability to make sound business decisions
* Ability to communicate directly and succinctly
* Displays high integrity and honesty
