Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

* As the Vice President of Business Development Air Force Aviation, you will serve as the senior executive leader responsible for shaping and executing V2X's growth strategy within the U.S. Air Force aviation and maintenance sectors. This position requires exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills; ability to interact with senior executives (both internal and external customers) in the development of long-term strategic goals. The selected leader will serve as the senior customer interface with the US Air Force aviation and maintenance commands, develop and maintain close trusted relationships with senior Air Force decision makers, lead V2X in the execution of campaign plans.
* As the executive lead, the US Air Force Aviation BD Executive will provide strategic focus and direction, operational insight, and cross-functional coordination between the Business Development organization, program operations, and internal functional support to establish V2X as a leader in US Air Force aviation maintenance. This position requires a strong blend of mission understanding, business acumen and how those combine to provide unmatched offerings to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as the US Air Force Business Development Executive, developing long range strategic vision for the enterprise specific to Air Force aviation
* Establish and nurture business relationships with senior leaders within the Air Force acquisition corps and operational staffs
* Develop detailed customer campaign plans and contact plans to gain insight into new opportunities for V2X, shape requirements ahead of Air Force acquisition plans development to best position V2X to create offerings that differentiate us from our competitors
* Gain competitive intelligence on our competitor's performance and intentions
* Operate with a time horizon of 12-60 months out
* Support capture activities when solicitations are approaching Gate-2 and beyond (color review teams, strategy sessions, Gate reviews, etc.)
* Support development and review Air Force proposals, providing expert analysis and guidance on solutions necessary to position V2X as the provider of choice
* Interact with customers not only before contract award, but also after award during execution to serve as the customer advocate, gain a position of trust that the customer can use to communicate program concerns, opportunities with the mindset that a satisfied customer is the best Business Development possible for incumbency positions
* Maintain direct interface and trusted partnership with senior government stakeholders

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

* Education / Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, engineering, or related field; Masters preferred
* Experience:
* Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale government organizations and programs, with at least 7 years supporting DoD logistics, sustainment, or maintenance operations
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external customers in the development of long-term strategies
* Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, complex organizations
* Experience working directly with US Air Force training, logistics and maintenance commands
* Understanding of FAR/DFARS, government contracting, and performance-based logistics (PBL) models
* Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required
* Creating executive briefings and formal communications to company and government key personnel

Other Requirements:

* United States citizenship required.
* Active Secret required with ability to obtain Top Secret

* The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
* USD $230,000 - $280,000
* Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
