Overview:
This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager Sr., the Vehicle Maintenance Manager manages the daily operation of Maintenance Department (MAINT) Field Maintenance Support (FMS) in support of the program. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager provides operational guidance and supervision to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Support capabilities include Production Control, Maintenance Sections (Wheel, Track, Armament/Small Arms, Heavy Equipment, Engineer & Special Purpose Equipment, HVAC, and Power Generation), Allied Trades and Locksmith.
Responsibilities:

* Monitors Maintenance program production schedules and ensures all missions are executed on time and at the highest quality level possible.
* Maintains frequent contact with customers regarding Maintenance performance and overall customer satisfaction.
* Interfaces with customer contract personnel to ensure adherence to all contractual requirements.
* Coordinates staffing requirements and technical approach for all task orders. Coordinates efforts to attain facilities and required infrastructure support for all task order off-site operations.
* Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
* Ensures an operating environment which promotes and foster the principles of teamwork and a sound EHS culture.
* Conducts regularly scheduled reviews with assigned programs related to on-going operations, budgets, performance measurements, customer satisfaction, contract compliance and forecast status to determine maintenance area progress toward stated goals, objectives and requirements.
* Ensures that all assigned program activities and operations are carried out in compliance with V2X employee relations policies.
* Provides a safe and secure workplace.
* Sets the example for respect, responsibility and integrity.
* Provides reports on all life safety, quality, and maintenance issues.
* Performs routine inspections of all maintenance sections.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* 6-8 years of maintenance experience with 2-3 years in a management capacity of a similar project/ department/branch related to these functions.
* Experience:
* 6-8 years in the management of maintenance programs.
* Specific experience in U.S. Army logistics management desirable.

* OCN Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
* Must be able to read/write and speak English.
* Vast knowledge in motor vehicle troubleshooting using computerized equipment to determine the fault before repair.
* Skills:
* High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately, with strong written and briefing skills, and capability to plan without much detailed guidance
* Senior-level inter-personal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a large and multi-ethnic workforce
* Energy and stamina that meets constant cycle of meetings and briefings; strong listing skills and ability to give detailed direction and guidance
* Expert written and oral communications, must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications
* Must have technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs with a strong customer orientation and focus
* Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Directly responsible to the Logistics Director and has overall responsibility for policies and procedures used in the performance of work
* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* Physical Requirements:
* Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
