What You Can Expect:
* Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 hour shifts, 7:30am-6pm with occasional swing shift in Boise (11am-9:30pm)
* Position helps support coverage at all Treasure Valley locations as needed
* No overnight call or weekends
* Types of procedures: All non-invasive Vascular testing (including more specialized testing such as arterial bypass grafts, fistulas, aortic endografts, etc )
* Equipment: VascuLab GSX, Parks mini-flo lab, Canon i700, Philips Epiq

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:
* Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* Registered Vascular Sonographer (CCI) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS)
Responsibilities:
Performs all appropriate diagnostic testing including, but not limited to, duplex ultrasound and plethysmograph procedures, in order to obtain diagnostic information in the evaluation of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease. The Senior Vascular Technologist also serves a quality and patient experience role within the team, dedicated to enhancing patient care, employee safety, and the overall patient experience. This position plays a key role in advising and working with leadership on quality initiatives
-Technologists will educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Technologist is responsible for the preparation of an adequate, complete, and current medical record for every individual evaluated
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of age-appropriate care.
- Collects key information from the patient, family, provider, and records necessary for interpretation of the study(s).
- Provides necessary reports and maintain echo records, charges, and files.
- Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of resources and operations.
- Maintains equipment and supplies.
- Ensures the proper exam is being performed. Consult provider as needed.
- Maintains knowledge and competency of the most advanced procedures.
- Participates in quality management program and follows accreditation standards to achieve image and service quality ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
- Participates in call rotation as assigned.
- Performs the most advanced tasks with little to no supervision.
- Develops and implements quality improvement strategies.
-Ensuring compliance with healthcare and joint commission standards.
-Actively participates in the pursuit of St. Luke's Health System goals for safer patient experiences.
-Maintains exemplary clinical skills while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
-Oversees accreditation requirements and standards of the department.
-Serves as a mentor and coach to career level technologists.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Experience: 3 years' relevant experience.
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* Registered Vascular Sonographer (CCI) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS).
