Responsibilities:

The Center for Cardiovascular Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a leading provider of cardiovascular services in the Pacific Northwest. Due to a retirement and significant regional growth, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Vascular Surgeon to join our busy, 100% vascular practice at St. Joseph Medical Center serving Pierce and South King counties.

St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma features state-of-the-art facilities, including two hybrid rooms and easy access to the cath lab for complex interventions. You will join four board-certified vascular surgeons and a growing team of advanced practitioners dedicated to providing outstanding care. The practice provides a high volume of vascular surgeries and complex interventions, including dialysis access, CEA, CAS, TCAR, aortic emergencies, and complex aortic work performed in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery. Our practice also includes an outstanding vascular laboratory staffed by 24 full-time vascular technologists. 

Our expert vascular team has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the best in Washington and the country for cardiology, heart, and vascular surgery. This accolade reflects our commitment to clinical excellence and superior patient care.

Responsibilities include:

* Clinic, hospital rounds, and surgery. 
* Call requirement; 1 in 5 on-call rotation (weekdays after 5:00 PM and weekends). 

Qualifications:

* MD or DO from an accredited institution
* Board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery from ABS
* RPVI certification preferred
* Experience with spine exposure for our growing ALIF team is a plus, but not required
* Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
