Overview: Sign-On Incentive: $20,000 for qualified candidates! The Radiology Tech Specialist in conjunction with other team members provides direct specialized care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position operates and maintains specialized cardiac catheterization equipment for use in diagnosing and treating heart disease in the Cath Lab. This position assists vascular surgeons and cardiologists in procedures by scrubbing, monitoring, and circulation duties. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families. * On-call requirement 1-2 weeknights & every 3rd weekend * 4-10 hour day shifts Why do you want to join the UPH team? Also communicates effectively with patients and families. * Demonstrates self-development by keeping abreast of various trends in cardiovascular procedures and is proficient with new techniques. * Takes on-call as scheduled. Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of call-in when on a call shift. Qualifications: EDUCATION: * Graduate of an approved Radiology Technologist program. EXPERIENCE: * One year of Radiology "special procedures" or cardiac cath experience. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: * Current Iowa License to practice as a Radiology Technologist. * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
