Are you ready to bring your technical expertise to the frontlines of cardiovascular care? We're seeking a Radiology Tech Specialist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team and play a vital role in diagnosing and treating heart disease.
What You'll Do
* Provide direct, specialized care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab

* Operate and maintain advanced cardiac catheterization equipment

* Assist vascular surgeons and cardiologists during procedures by scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating

* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care

* Contribute to a holistic approach that improves patient outcomes and enhances satisfaction for patients and families

* Sign-On Incentive:$20,000 for qualified candidates!
* On-call requirement ( call requirement) 1-2 weeknights/every 3rd weekend
* 4-10 Day hour work week

Responsibilities:

* Provides direct patient care.
* Performs various duties related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including scrubbing, monitoring and circulation duties.
* Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
* Takes emergency call as scheduled.
* Communicates effectively with other team members including physicians, nurse, cardiovascular technicians, clinical partners, unit secretaries, and effectively with patients and families.
* Demonstrates self-development by keeping abreast of various trends in invasive vascular and cardiology and is proficient with new techniques.
* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
* Integrates and demonstrates FOCUS Values and Expectations for personal and service excellence to guide professional behaviors, while adhering to the policies and procedures of UPH-DM.

* Practice reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
* Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
* The position requires on-call. Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of call-in when on a call shift.
* Must own a telecom device capable of receiving call-in page.

Qualifications:

* Education: Graduate of an approved Radiology Technologist Program
* Certifications/License: Current Iowa License to Practice
* ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
* Experience: New Grads to Experienced Radiology Technologists
