Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Vascular Neurologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights:

* Works as a Neurohospitalist/Stroke Neurologist in rotation with other members of the Neurohospitalist/Stroke Neurology team proving care across the spectrum from ED to ICU to hospital discharge
* Collaborates with other specialties in the multidisciplinary care of neurology/stroke patients.
* Participates in development and maintenance of clinical pathways in coordination with other specialties to provide highly reliable, high-quality care for stroke patients in alignment with certifying bodies' requirements.
* Participates in quality improvement work in stroke and neurology by determining key performance indicators, process metrics and outcomes measures.
* Provides stroke-specific review of cases referred to the medical staff's peer review committee on an ad hoc basis.
* Participates in recruitment and retention of physicians and APCs on the neuroscience team (neurology, neurohospitalist, neurosurgery, neurointervention)

Responsibilities:

Summary:
Cares for patients hospitalized for neurologic conditions with an emphasis on stroke including clinical decision making for thrombolysis, thrombectomy and ICU care.

Credentials Required:
M.D./D.O. with residency training in an approved ACGME Neurology program. Board eligible or certified in Neurology. Fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Vascular Neurology (Stroke) 
Current New Mexico License required.
