Responsibilities:
The Utility Digital Sales Consultant will be a member of the Utility Digital Solutions and Services group (Xtensible). The primary role of the Utility Digital Sales Consultant is to identify opportunities, build relationships and secure profitable work for the organization. This includes achieving sales target goals. This role is also responsible for understanding the services offered, such as data management, standards-based modeling, integration, and analytics for utilities, and effectively communicating the value of these services to potential clients. This role does not include management of clients.
* Stays aware of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the utilities sector.
* Identifies, develops, and executes growth strategies for acquired client accounts.
* Creates compelling presentations, proposals, and reports for stakeholders, prospective clients, and acquired clients.
* Tracks and updates business development progress for accounts using designated CRM or database software.
* Travels 25-50% of the time for client meetings, industry/networking events, and/or conferences.
* Drives revenue growth by meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Proactively informs and educates new and existing clients on updated and expanded service offerings.
* Executes the Company's vision and mission, while successfully performing its core values related to employees, ethics, operational excellence, safety, integrity and corporate social responsibility.
* Performs other tasks assigned to help accomplish the company's strategic goals.
* This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in business development in the utilities or energy sector.
* Knowledge of the utilities sector, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key trends.
* Strong market research skills, with experience analyzing trends and opportunities.
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
* Experience with Salesforce systems is preferred.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or Power BI).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
