Woodland Clinic Medical Group (Woodland Clinic) is a multi-specialty group with more than 150+ provider members, that have continued to provide exceptional care for the residents Woodland, Davis and surrounding communities since 1911. Woodland Clinic is affiliated with Dignity Health, the largest integrated health system in California. We are in need of an additional new or experienced Urologist to join our urology service. Bilingual physicians encouraged to apply, but is not a requirement. Salary Compensation: $533,095

Woodland is the county seat of Yolo County, located in California's Central Valley. Woodland is located 20 miles northwest of Sacramento at the intersection of Interstate 5 and State Route 113. To the south is the City of Davis, a university-oriented city noted for small-town style is just 20 miles from Sacramento, and for those craving a taste of the city life you are just an hour from San Francisco. The Sacramento International Airport is eight miles to the east. Waterways include the Yolo Bypass and Sacramento River to the east, Willow Slough to the southeast, and Cache Creek to the north.
Woodland has a strong historic heritage, which is reflected in an impressive stock of historic buildings in its downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. Woodland's agricultural setting is largely responsible for the community's distinct identity and plays an important economic role in Woodland. Due to its proximity to major transportation nodes, Woodland has also become increasingly important as a manufacturing and distribution center.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
* Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
* Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
* Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Provide clear and concise medical information.
* Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
* Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
* Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
* Perform procedures as needed
* Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
* Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
* Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
* Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
* Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
* Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
* Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
* Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
* Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Continuous Learning:
* Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
* Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
* Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
* Conduct comprehensive health assessments.
* Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Treatment Planning and Management:
* Develop and implement patient care plans.
* Prescribe medications and therapies.
* Provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
Collaboration and Consultation:
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
* Consult with physicians and specialists as needed.
* Coordinate patient care across various settings.
Qualifications:
* A valid and unrestricted California medical license
* BC within five years of training (ABMS or AOA)
* Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
