Redding is truly the "Choose-your-own-adventure" town with two reservoirs just minutes away, the mighty Sacramento River flowing through the center of town, 225 miles of trails within a 15-miles radius, an active musical theater scene, state and national parks, and hunting and fishing opportunities galore. Want to spend the weekend in the city? Sacramento is just over two hours away through easy farmland and the bay area is only about three to four hours from Redding. Want to refresh your spirit by dipping your toes in the ocean? A quick three hour drive takes you through bigfoot country to the northern CA coast. (Bonus points if you drive about 20 minutes farther to explore Jurassic Park - aka Fern Canyon - or the forest moon of Endor - aka Grizzly Creek SP.) Responsibilities: As our Urgent Care Physician, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group-NorthState, an established physician-owned multi-specialty group with care centers in Redding and Red Bluff, CA. Aligned with Dignity Health, one of the nation's largest health systems, you'll practice in a busy and well-established Urgent Care Clinic in Redding. This is your chance to deliver acute care in a physician-led, professionally managed setting, supported by a beautiful and experienced clinic. You will provide expert urgent care services in a collaborative environment with strong physician support and mentorship. Embracing a shift-based compensation model, full-time commitment is 168 shifts per year, with the option for additional shifts. The clinic operates 7 days a week, with Monday-Friday shifts being 10 hours and Saturday-Sunday shifts being 8 hours, requiring you to work just one weekend per month. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urgent Care Physician with a strong clinical acumen in acute care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. A team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive urgent medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. * Perform thorough medical evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. * Accurately diagnose and initiate appropriate treatment plans for a wide range of urgent care conditions. * Effectively communicate with patients regarding their condition, treatment options, and follow-up care. We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires: * Competitive Compensation Range: $289,772 - $308,112 / Year (shift-based) * Signing Bonus and Relocation Incentive * PSLF eligible position * Generous health and welfare offerings for you and your dependents * Robust time away from work allowances * A Monday-Friday (10-hour) and Saturday-Sunday (8-hour) schedule, with only one weekend required per month. Qualifications: Required: * Active or eligible for a medical license in the state of California * Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA) * Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program * Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
