Responsibilities:

As our Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer), you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

* Consistently selects correct technical factors relative to the requirements of the study and the patient's age and body habits.  
* Consistently selects equipment settings and appropriate transducer in accordance with department protocols and patient body habits.  
* Consistently processes hard copy images properly, utilizing automated equipment.
* Properly and consistently follows specific infection control techniques relative to ultrasound imaging ( e.g., cold sterilization of probes, use of condoms on endocavitary probes, etc.)
* Routinely manipulates transducer appropriately to obtain the desired images
* Adjusts the technical factors relative to the requirements of the study and the physical maturation of the patient.

Qualifications:

* Completion of the educational hours and Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 18 - months 
* AHA Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

* Experience in an acute care hospital, performing a variety of ultrasound examination
