POSITION SUMMARY: Ultrasound Technologist III will follow established policies and procedures, performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic tests of patients' internal organs and vascular structures. In doing so, obtains information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnosis disease. Ensure ultrasound tests are of acceptable quality and records results. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Completion of an accredited ultrasound program Licensure/ Certification: - Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered as a Vascular Technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI). - One certification required (Abdomen - AB, Breast - BR, Fetal Echocardiography - FE, Obstetrics and Gynecology - OB/GYN, or Registered Vascular Technologist - RVT) to be determined by OSF Entity need. - Specific certification required is based on OSF entity need and must come from either ARDMS, CCI, NTQR or the Fetal Medicine Foundation. - American Heart Association (BLS) Other Skills/ Knowledge: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: - Previous clinical experience to be able to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and to gain knowledge of patient care techniques.
