				Overview:

The Advanced UX designer will lead software design solutions across a portfolio or business unit by understanding user needs in a variety of enterprise spaces and creating innovative concepts to help solve those challenges. S/he will collaborate with cross-functional teams across all parts of Zebra's business, practicing design thinking and evangelizing a human-centered design approach to ensure Zebra's solutions offer a best in class experience for our customers.

The Advanced designer will look to support a variety of technical deliverables ranging from information architecture, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and pixel-perfect production UI specifications. S/he will have a more advanced understanding of production limitations around software technology and be able to clearly articulate their viewpoints when working with teams. They will be expected to manage mulitple projects at various phases concurrently, provide testing and feedback plans for their work, and mentor junior team members. A lead designer will have a strong understanding of Agile software methodologies and ability to message their work across the organization and manage stakeholders and customers. A design lead will also contribute to the business processes within Zebra, informing industry best practices for how UX design is conducted in a lean and agile fashion.

This position is hybrid-3-days a week on-site in one of Zebra's facilities and 2 days remote:

-Kennesaw, GA

-Chicago, IL

-Lincolnshire, IL

-Holtsville, NY

Responsibilities:

* Leads end to end development of an existing UX design program. 
* Captures user needs and customer use cases and generate, iterate and test concept solutions to design problems.
* Leads all stages of design development process from customer research, concept development, prototyping and execution.
* Presents work to project teams, customers, and executive stakeholders.
* Works with engineering and development leadership to ensure implementation of designs.
* Effectively manages multiple design projects autonomously and sets deadlines and milestones in line with project delivery.
* Mentors junior level design professionals and nurtures core design skills and design thinking
* Leads Agile development process, including writing user stories and documentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or certificate in HCI, design or equivalent 
Minimum 8+ years' professional experience as a User Experience Designer 
* Excellent understanding of interaction design, visual design, design systems, and other related design skills and industry best practices.
* Must have experience using Figma and Miro.
* Demonstrated ability and experience creating interactive prototypes and wireframes. 
* Candidates will be required to provide portfolio with completed past work and accomplishments during interview process.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability with ability to manage work through production.
* Experience building modern web and mobile applications with different technologies and frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple projects and programs
* Demonstrated ability to lead a small group of designers on design programs
* Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and oral presentation skills as well as ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers, clients, and customers
* Strong understanding of responsive SaaS products, web interaction patterns, and accessibility principles
* Proven experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams through development and release cycles
