Responsibilities:

Patient Transporter - Make a Difference in Patient Care! We are looking for a reliable and caring Patient Transporter to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients and materials throughout the hospital, contributing to a positive patient experience.

* Transport patients safely and comfortably via wheelchair or gurney.
* Assist with patient lifting and movement.
* Dispatch and coordinate other transporters as needed.
* Maintain patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
* Keep accurate records and maintain equipment cleanliness.
* Participate in training and use proper body mechanics.
* Transport equipment and supplies.
* Report equipment issues and safety concerns.
* Answer phones and pages courteously.
* Perform other related duties.

Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalency required.
* Minimum six months recent work experience in a medical office hospital/ acute care environment required.
* AHA BLS certification required.
* Fire Safety Card within 90 days of hire.

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
