Responsibilities:

The Transportation Analyst II, addresses key logistics and reporting challenges by converting massive data sets into clear, actionable trends. This role directly mitigates operational inefficiencies and shipment irregularities through robust process auditing and custom analytical models. By optimizing freight programs and tracking cross-functional spend, this position ensures seamless alignment across accounting, finance, manufacturing, and distribution functions.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

* Partner with cross-functional teams to develop insights that clarify freight costs and distribution patterns
* Design, deploy, and maintain automated reporting to monitor freight spend, volume trends, fuel surcharges, and service level KPIs
* Address carrier inquiries regarding claims, shipment routings, and invoice payment statuses
* Collaborate with the Freight Payment vendor to ensure invoice compliance and enforce payment business rules
* Leverage AI workflows to optimize manual, data-intensive tasks and enhance overall analytical output

Qualifications:

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

* Strong problem-solving abilities to convey complex findings through clear charts, graphs, and pivot tables
* Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail in daily operations
* Ability to learn and integrate AI applications for data-driven decision-making and productivity
* Critical experience in analyzing operational data to uncover process improvements and recommend best practices
* Proficiency in data manipulation and query generation for relational databases

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 
* Minimum Experience: 1-2 year of experience in office, internship, or logistics coordination settings
* Required Technical Skills: Must have experience with:
* Excel or Google Sheets
* SQL query writing
