As a Transfer Coordinator you will be responsible for:
* Coordinating all processes, support, communication and documentation involved in transferring patients from one facility to another facility
* Support physician consults.
* Recognizing and uphold all regulatory requirements, while simultaneously updating key stakeholders of timelines.
* Accurately enter all required data into EPIC database.
* Coordinate with Flight for Life for patient transports.
Schedule: 2 - 12 hour shifts per week, 0700-1900
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
* One to two years of direct clinical experience in Emergency Room/Critical Care Unit (e.g., Critical Care Tech, EMT-B) OR One to two years of full-time direct administrative healthcare experience (e.g., Nursing Unit Secretary, Patient Access Representative) OR One to two years of Transfer Center experience
* High School Diploma/G.E.D required
* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Certified Healthcare Associate (CHAA) successfully completed within 18 months of employment. Certification must be maintained while employed
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
