Tractor Trailer Driver

				Overview:

PACKAGE PAVEMENT(r) a manufacturer of QUIKRETE(r) and Spec Mix (r) products in Ravena, NY is currently recruiting for a full time organized, enthusiastic and experienced Class A (Flatbed) Driver to join our delivery team.  

Candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years experience as a flatbed driver with clean MVR and CSA.  Candidate must be comfortable making deliveries to NYC.

Responsibilities:

* Perform DOT pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer.
* Reads delivery ticket to determine assignment and is responsible to inspect and inventory product loaded on trailer.
* Fastens straps to secure load on trailer during transit following DOT guidelines.
* Maintains driver log according to government regulations.  Maintains mileage and TMT records as required.
* Operates tractor/trailer observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Assists in unloading product on trailer by using forklift/piggyback when required. 
* Obtains necessary signatures on delivery tickets and product returns following company guidelines.   Returns completed paperwork to dispatcher upon return to worksite.  
* Collects payment for COD deliveries. 
* Responsible for documenting any and all returned material on proper company paperwork to be returned to dispatcher. 
* Ensures deliveries are "on time" per schedule; immediately reports any delays to dispatcher.
* Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.

Drivers are paid per mile, averaging $90,000 / year.
