The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for the accountability of assigned shop tools, equipment and facilities. Operates and maintains the main automotive tool room in support of the maintenance operations. Issues, receives and accounts for various tools and test equipment. Maintains, orders and issues hardware and other low-cost consumable items associated with the performance of automotive repair and maintenance tasks. Maintains, turns in and Picks up Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment requiring calibration. Performs other additional duties as assigned.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
* Assists in the operation of the automotive maintenance tool room.
* Accounts for all assigned tools and equipment as they are issued and received on a daily basis
* Ensures that the calibration required for the Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment is maintained and kept current.
* Maintains, issues and prepares purchase orders automotive hardware.
* Maintains and prepares equipment and facilities for periodic inventory and inspections.
* Perform general labor tasks as required.
* Maintain tool room in compliance with OSHA and Environmental Policies, and applicable Army regulations.
* Required to operate material handling equipment
* Additional duties will be assigned as needed, to meet organizational/operational objectives.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
* Personal Protection Equipment may be required.
* A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days a week); however, may involve extended hours when mission requires.
* Employee may perform work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work requires stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolong sitting.
* The Tools and Parts Attendant receives guidance and direction as necessary from the Equipment CMST Supervisor regards to daily requirements, policies, directives and professional development.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
* Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
* Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
* Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
* Must have average organizational, analytical skills, and written and oral communication skills in the English Language.
EXPERIENCE:
* Preferred at least one (1) year, or equivalent, of experience accounting for, maintaining, inventorying and caring for assigned property.
* Possess the ability to understand operating procedures, work instructions and Army property accountability regulations.
* Basic Skills using Microsoft Office applications.
* Basic knowledge of Automotive Hardware preferred.
* Basic knowledge of Automotive Tools, Test Equipment and Automotive Shop Equipment required.
* Customer Service experience dealing with customers and peers in a professional and courteous manner.
* Working independently or in a team based, highly collaborative environment.
