Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide. Responsibilities: * Function as Lead Lab Test Engineer on Timing and Synchronization hardware and configuration certification. * Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements * Initiate and coordinate with customers on sensitive customer timing feeds * Develop site/project-specific system engineering designs to transition current timing feeds to the new timing distribution scheme * Monitors project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives * Supports the acquisition of hardware and software * Support field installers with calibration/testing/troubleshooting methods to ensure all equipment, circuits, and services are successfully implemented. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology management or technical discipline is required * Active 8570 Certication * 10 years experience in Timing and Sync or related field. * Experience in Timing architectures and design. * Strong working knowledge of GPS (and the technology behind it - Stratum 1 timing sources, antennas, and Cesium Clocks, IRIG/1PPS signaling, etc.) * Working knowledge Microsoft Office tools specifically, Excel, Word, Visio and Project * Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
