Are you a seasoned mental health professional with a passion for crisis intervention and compassionate care? Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Therapist III to join our Behavioral Health team, supporting patients in their most vulnerable moments.

At our outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, you will work with individuals in need of general on going couseling and mental health crises, providing immediate clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and stabilization planning. This role is essential to helping patients regain safety, hope, and direction-when they need it most.

* Schedule: Full Time, Days 8:00am - 5:00pm
* Department: Novant Health Central Traid Medical Park
* Location: Kernersville, NC

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide immediate counseling to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, depression or pyschotic episodes
* Conduct crisis assessments and develop intervention plans
* Provide individual, family, and group therapy as appropriate
* Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and care coordinators
* Ensure safety planning, appropriate referrals, and follow-up care
* Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to clinical quality initiatives

Qualifications:

* Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field; required.
* Experience: Minimum of three years experience, required.
* Licensure/Certification: 
* Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor or Clinic Phd/PsyD level Psychologist; required.
* For the Substance Use Therapist role, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate with above required license, preferred.
* NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire. Required.

* Additional Skills Required: Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health Age Specific populations.
