Territory Manager - Technical Sales
The company manufactures an innovative technology to improve the efficiency of agriculture sprayers. The company is headquartered in Saskatoon and has over 30,000 Sq. ft. of mixed manufacturing and office space. There are branch offices in the US and Europe to service international markets. This full time and permanent position will be based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with the requirement of frequent travel throughout the Prairie Provinces. A successful candidate for this role would have hands on experience with farming equipment and a successful background in sales in a related industry. This technical sales role will provide hands on training in a collaborative work environment. The targeted client base would be Agriculture OEM's and Dealers with service to end users.
Responsibilities:
* Prospect new clients through strategic market mapping
* Travel frequently throughout the Prairie Province for various sales calls, trade shows, and service calls to end users
* Account management of existing clients with the ultimate goal of increasing dealer sales by 15% annually
* Delivery of marketing materials to dealers including brochures, promotional materials, tradeshow support, etc.
* Act as a representative of the company at all trade shows and corporate events, which are held multiple times throughout the year throughout the Prairie Provinces and occasionally the US
* Frequent travel throughout the Prairie Provinces, about 50% on average, more during the busy months (spring, summer) and less during the winter months.
* Reporting sales activity and forecasts to North American Sales & Service Manager
Qualifications:
* Agricultural background and strong knowledge of farming equipment and applications
* Hands on experience with farming equipment
* Self-driven, entrepreneurial mind state
* Ability to travel for potentially extended amounts of time (up to 10 days at a time)
* Confident and outgoing personality with a strong business acumen
* Strong relationship building skills
For this full time position we are offering a base salary. Negotiable depending on experience. Company vehicle or vehicle allowance if the successful candidate chooses to use their personal vehicle. Thorough technical training. All travel expenses reimbursed.
