Overview:
The Senior Specialist, Communications is responsible for supporting the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies that align with the company's vision, values, and strategic objectives within the dental and medical healthcare environment. This individual will produce high-quality content, manage communication channels, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging that enhances employee engagement and strengthens the company's brand presence.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Execution
* Develop clear, engaging content for internal and external communication platforms, including announcements, newsletters, social media, press releases, and executive communications.
* Manage internal communication channels, such as email, intranet, digital signage, and video content, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.
* Support the development of visual content, including graphics and multimedia, to complement written communication.
Internal Communications
* Assist in the implementation of internal communication plans to support company initiatives and enhance employee engagement.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, write content, and ensure messaging aligns with organizational priorities.
* Help coordinate and execute internal events, including virtual and in-person town halls and employee meetings.
External Communications & Brand Consistency
* Contribute to the development of external communication materials, including media statements, press releases, and social media content.
* Ensure consistency between internal and external messaging to reinforce the company's mission and brand identity.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Work closely with Communications, Marketing, and HR teams to align messaging and support cross-departmental initiatives.
* Collaborate with senior team members to develop talking points and presentations for leadership.
* Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support communication needs across the organization.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
* Track engagement and performance metrics across internal and external communication platforms.
* Gather feedback from employees and stakeholders to support the evaluation and continuous improvement of communication efforts.
Vendor & Resource Coordination

* Coordinate with external vendors and creative partners as needed to produce high-quality communication materials.
* Manage content and asset libraries to ensure easy access and brand consistency.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare, dental, or medical industry.
* Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
* Demonstrated success developing content and executing communication initiatives in a professional setting

* Experience in dental, medical, or healthcare communications.
* Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video production.
* Experience with internal communication platforms and tools.

* Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to develop compelling content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
* Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AP Style.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of communication best practices, particularly in healthcare settings.
