Telehealth Specialist - Full-Time Night Shift
Wage: $17.32 - $19+ per hour, depending on experience
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (three 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Variable, including weekends and holidays
What You'll Do
As a Telehealth Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Transfer Center team, supporting patient care coordination across all four locations. While this is a non-clinical role with no direct patient interaction, you'll work closely with nurses and physicians to facilitate transfer center calls and ensure efficient bed placement.
In this fast-paced environment, your ability to effectively communicate, problem-solve, and manage multiple moving parts will be key. You'll play a vital role in streamlining operations and supporting seamless transitions for patients.
What to expect:
* Coordinating Patient Transfers: Work with nurses and physicians to support patient movement across facilities.
* Managing Bed Placements: Help ensure timely and efficient bed assignments across our locations.
* Handling High-Volume Calls: Field transfer center requests and communicate critical updates to care teams.
* Operational Coordination: Maintain accurate records and support administrative processes to keep the transfer center running smoothly.
* Collaborating with Medical Teams: Partner with clinical staff to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
Prefered Qualifications:
* Healthcare Background Preferred: Experience in patient care or healthcare support is highly valued.
* Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly and professionally in a high-pressure environment.
* Problem-Solving Mindset: Able to adapt, prioritize, and troubleshoot challenges effectively.
* Team-Oriented Approach: Comfortable working closely with medical professionals to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of customer service or administrative experience required.
* Licenses/Certifications: None required.

Responsibilities:
Under supervision, the Telehealth Specialist 1 is responsible for providing non-clinical support and service to telehealth programs, physicians, clinical staff, patients and units and programs throughout the region.
* Under supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas within an assigned department/unit. Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks.
* Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and others throughout the organization and region.
* Prepares, compiles and maintains technical and operational records for all telehealth programs.
* Maintains inventory and order supplies as necessary.
* Assists in gathering patient information between Telehealth services and units/programs both internal and external to the organization.
* Organizes the flow of information to maximize timely feedback including the management of high volumes of telephone call and electronic messages.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
