Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our Telecom team!

Responsibilities:

* Review and/or prepare structural reports and modification designs for telecommunications projects. Scopes include but are not limited to mount and tower analyses, water tanks, silos, concealment structures, supporting structure analyses, etc.
* Review and/or preparation of reports/findings, plans, specifications, cost estimates, permits, and other contract documents and ensure compliance with QA/QC policies and procedures.
* Provide management team with technical assistance and supervision in the preparation of proposals, expression of interest, and contracts for assigned projects.
* Prepare stormwater, grading, and erosion and sediment control designs with minimal guidance preferred.
* Prepare and/or review land development, zoning, and construction drawings (raw lands, rooftops, etc.) with minimal guidance.
* Assist and host conference calls with clients for site design issues and zoning preparation. 

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
* 8+ years of related experience, minimum of 3 years performing structural engineering on telecommunications structures.
* Prior experience working on civil/site (land development) engineering projects is preferred, as well. 
* PE license required; SE licensure and/or active NCEES record is a plus.
* Proficient in telecom-specific 3D Structural Engineering Software (RISA 3D, TNX Tower, etc.); experience with other structural analysis software is a plus.
* Demonstrate the ability to learn, incorporate and demonstrate new/advances in technology (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, etc.) and train junior engineers on same.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks for various internal clients.
* Demonstrate necessary competencies for successful execution of work duties including but not limited to technical writing, public presentation skills, interpersonal communication, knowledge of the political process and its impact on our work, analytical techniques, proper techniques for field work and supervisory skills.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
