				Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Telecom Engineer to work in a hybrid capacity, with 3 days on-site per week at the DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Washington, D.C. This position requires candidates to reside within the DMV area and provides the opportunity to support and optimize critical telecommunications infrastructure for both internal and remote users.

Responsibilities:

* Serve as the first point of contact for telecom-related support requests via phone or email.

* Monitor and maintain the OCFO Voice Network and report issues to vendors through the Remedy Portal ticketing system.

* Manage telecom-related tickets using Zendesk.

* Configure user profiles for voicemail and desk phone display names for new hires.

* Maintain accurate documentation of telecom equipment and voice network infrastructure.

* Work with telecommunications partners (e.g., Aspect) on upgrades and patch management.

* Maintain telecom cabling closets and track cable location inventory.

* Perform mobile device iOS updates in compliance with OCTO AirWatch policies.

* Log incidents and tasks in Zendesk with clear documentation.

* Track telecom assets using FCMS inventory tools and Verizon Portal.

* Participate in telecom documentation efforts and infrastructure planning.

* Attend meetings as needed to ensure clear communication with IT Operations.

* Install and relocate telecom assets in accordance with OCFO IT processes.

Qualifications:

* Provide technical direction and engineering knowledge for planning, designing, developing, testing, installing, and maintaining large communications networks.

* Ensure proper planning and collaboration with building architects to meet industry standards for telecom spaces and pathways.

* Develop, operate, and maintain voice, wireless, video, and data communication systems.

* Execute complex engineering or analytical tasks across multiple areas of the telecom function.
