Overview: Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Design Technician with prior CADD experience to join our growing Telecom team in our Columbia, MD office! Our team of forward-thinking telecommunication professionals is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions for the latest telecommunications technologies while serving the needs of major communications companies, wireless carriers and tower owners nationwide. Responsibilities: * Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings. * Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces. * Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. * Create and setup plan sets. * Prepare conceptual layouts with parameters provided. * Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion. * Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets. * Prepare project exhibits. * Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased. Qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's degree or a certification from a technical school is a plus. * 2+ years of CADD experience in a related field is required. * Increasing proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and other related software. * Good communication skills and comfortability with asking questions, when needed. * Ability to understand and follow directions. * Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
