Overview:
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking two Technology Specialists to join our team. These positions will be fully onsite at the Central Greene School District in Waynesburg, PA.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the first point of contact for all onsite IT support needs across the school district.
* Collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to ensure continuous functionality of onsite technology.
* Support and troubleshoot infrastructure systems including servers, networks, wireless, phones, and cloud services.
* Respond to and remediate internet security threats and backup system failures.
* Configure, deploy, and manage iPads and MacBooks using Jamf Pro.
* Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other roles.
* Deploy, monitor, and optimize the VMware infrastructure and virtual machines.
* Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and associated software.
* Provide technical support for Windows 10/11, iPads, MacBooks, and mobile devices.
* Support printers and peripherals, including hardware malfunctions, driver issues, and network printing.
* Configure security settings, email accounts, and encryption protocols on all devices.
* Assist with application and email system troubleshooting, including third-party vendor coordination.
* Maintain and update technology inventory and document network architecture.
* Participate in monthly vulnerability scanning and proactive monitoring activities.
* Attend and support school board meetings and be available during regular school hours.
* Create and maintain documentation, user training materials, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* 2+ years of IT support experience in a school or enterprise environment.
* Proficient in Windows OS troubleshooting, network diagnostics, and hardware support.
* Experience with Jamf Pro, Windows Server administration, and VMware environments.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with managing user accounts, file/folder permissions, and domain administration.
* Understanding of Active Directory, network protocols, and printer/peripheral troubleshooting.
* Must pass required background checks, clearances, and Act 168 disclosure.
