ABOUT THE ROLE

The Technology Director will lead the Support Services Technology Department by overseeing a team responsible for complex engineering and analytical tasks across various technical areas within the telecom and contact center technologies, including Amazon voice chat solutions and other communication platforms. This role will involve engineering, implementation, and operations, as well as supporting Amazon voice chat integrations and tasks. The Technology Director will collaborate closely with Support Services departments across the company to provide business analysis, project management, implementation, and consulting support for technology-related initiatives. Additionally, the Technology Director will contribute to various projects, providing insights and strategies to support both current and future project goals, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and technology advancements.

This position will offer a hybrid work environment (minimum three days in office) in St. Louis, MO, and requires a regular on-site presence as needed at our Maryland Heights/Weldon Springs/and Clayton Corporate HQ campus and will require travel up to 5%. The pay range for this position is $160,300 - $204,300.

ABOUT THE TEAM   

Enterprise Mobility's Support Services team are responsible for Global Call Center Operations, Replacement Rental Services Support, Information Management, Customer Service Metric Programs, North American Roadside Assistance, Sales Support, Small Business Programs and Technical Support Helpdesks.  This team consists of over 4,000 customer service professionals, support staff and management around the globe in 15 different countries with 70+ million customer contacts handled annually.

Responsibilities:

* Provide support and recommendations on groupwide technology to the Senior Vice President/General Manager and Group leaders
* Provide direction to the Group on business opportunities and risks as they relate to the technology in the Group
* Develop key relationships within Enterprise Mobility, outside partners and other professionals to enable successful identification, development and implementation of strategic solutions
* Successful manage relationships with outside vendors and various business partners
* Drive strategic initiatives and improving telecom infrastructure to meet business needs
* Manage large-scale technology projects and the implementation of telecom solutions

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

* Five (5+) years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on technical roles such as network engineering, telecommunications operations, or technical project management required
* Five (5+) years of management experience required
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Must have a valid driver's license and cannot currently be on probation of any kind
* Must live in St. Louis, MO, or immediate surrounding area 
* Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

PREFERRED

* Experience managing relationships with outside vendors/business partners preferred
* Solid knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including network design, protocols, VoIP, cloud communications, 5G, fiber optics, and routing/switching technologies preferred
* Familiarity with network security, data privacy regulations, and disaster recovery planning preferred
* Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud-based telecom services, including integration of new solutions like Amazon Web Services (AWS) for telecom solutions preferred
* Experience with contact center technologies, including systems like Amazon Connect for voice chat, ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), IVR (Interactive Voice Response), and CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) Certification preferred
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other AWS certifications if relevant to Amazon voice chat integration preferred
* Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR for telecom data, etc.) preferred
* Knowledge of emerging technologies in the telecom space such as 5G, AI-powered call routing, virtual assistants preferred
