Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role involves conducting routine inspections, monitoring critical control points (CCPs), and ensuring adherence to food safety standards in line with SQF and other applicable regulations. Qualifications:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve food safety and quality issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and quality management systems. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* High school diploma or GED required. 
* Associate's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
* Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
* Familiarity with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and food safety audits.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
* Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
* Work in a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.
