Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our SCM II - Technical Publication team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in regulatory documentation and a strong understanding of federal aviation/authority guidelines (preferred). This role requires familiarity with product, process, and UCS guidelines to create clear, concise, and compliant technical content. Responsibilities: * Configuration Management Processing * Verify and Validate documentation of code changes for each version release. * Ensure department practices are in accordance with released procedures. * Analyze software documentation to ensure it meets department standards. * Research inquiries from customer, PMO, field engineering regarding software shipments and distribution requirements. * Prepare software build for test and address any issues that arise. * Resolve any discrepancies with software and software records that do not meet department release standards. * Documentation * Track and document software configuration baselines for customers and production. * Create certification documentation, maintain status accounting information, and coordinate software release. KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS * Proficient in the use of MS office suite of software applications i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Familiar with Enterprise applications (i.e. Oracle) * Ability to lead department projects that require management of allocated team members. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to resolve issues with SCM, field engineering, management, order administration and program management. * Ability to fully document SCM processes. * Ability to analyze change documentation to ensure that it is adequate to generate SBR's. * Ability to resolve discrepancies between software and software documentation provided by software developers and SCM records. * Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. * Normally follows established procedures on routine work, but requires instructions only on new assignments. Qualifications: * 4 to 5 years of experience in technical writing and regulatory documentation. * Strong understanding of federal aviation/authority guidelines (good to have). * Experience with product, process, and UCS guidelines. * Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
