Responsibilities:

In this role, you will edit, proofread, and provide writing support on non-technical and/or technical documentation. Ensures that documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. Duties may include collaboration with technical subject matter experts, technical editing and writing, establishing documentation guidelines, procedures, and templates; word processing, and coordinating final production of deliverables.

* Prepares proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals
* Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, technical material, management plans, resumes, past performance, conclusions, and organization credentials
* Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings
* Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal
* Enters and monitors tracking data
* Coordinates requirements with contributors and contributes proposal status information to review meetings
* Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals
* Develops a proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation
* Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding and coordinating printing

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* One to four or more (1 - 4+) years of experience in technical writing
* Skilled in using MS Office Products
* Strong understanding and experience with large, complex IT projects and organizations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to comfortably interact and provide recommendations to high-level commanders/executives in a conservative manner
* A commitment to your profession demonstrated by participation in providing support, guidance, and memberships in professional associations
