Overview:
This position is for a full-time direct Technical Writer with COMAC (Commercial  Aircraft Corporation of China).  The applicant must have experience in technical authoring of aircraft maintenance and/or flight manuals with a major aircraft manufacturer.  Position is based in Shanghai and total comp package to include negotiated housing, travel allowance and benefits commensurate with experience.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of aircraft flight manuals and associated documentation including but not limited to supplements, check lists, quick reference handbooks, weight& balance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 3 years experience as a technical author writing aircraft technical documentation to the ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specification.
* Experienced in the creation and maintenance of airplane flight manuals and associated documentation including but not limited to supplements, check lists, quick reference handbooks, weight& balance.
* Experienced with the creation and manipulation of complex Ms word, adobe frame maker and arbortext editor documentation working knowledge of the ASD S1000D specification within a common source data base(CSDB)environment. 
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university.
* Four (4) years of additional Technical Writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. 
* Experience with  multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc.
* Experience developing aircraft user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation utilized by the end-user community
* Experience  interpreting engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of data
* Experience  researching highly technical subject matter, organized information from multiple sources, and expressed technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
