Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Supervisor to lead our Calibration & Repair Laboratory team. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on technical contributions with team leadership, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and continuous improvement in service delivery. This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical acumen, people management skills, and a deep understanding of quality systems and calibration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership & Technical Guidance:
- Lead and mentor a team of calibration and repair technicians, providing technical direction and support during troubleshooting and complex repair activities.
- Allocate tasks based on individual skills, workload, and development plans.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and implement structured employee development and training programs.
* Operational Excellence:
- Ensure adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NABL accreditation requirements.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and productivity enhancements.
- Monitor and report operational KPIs (e.g., BFT, dashboards), ensuring targets are met and corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
* Quality & Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with KGSO quality norms and internal policies.
- Act as the first point of escalation for customer and internal issues, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration and innovative problem-solving.
* Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Assist in developing and executing team plans aligned with India service delivery objectives.
- Participate in business reviews, lead project updates, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
* Talent Management:
- Manage team attrition and support recruitment efforts by interviewing and onboarding new talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement through regular coaching and feedback sessions.
* Skill Development & Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and update the KGSO India Skill Matrix, ensuring alignment with future business needs.
- Drive structured training programs with assessments and signoffs to build technical capabilities within the team.
* Technical Competency:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of NABL audit requirements, including documentation, traceability, uncertainty measurement, and proficiency testing.
- Ensure laboratory practices align with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and support audit readiness.
- Oversee calibration laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, method validation, and quality control procedures.
- Lead internal audits and corrective action processes to maintain accreditation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
* Experience in calibration laboratory operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Proven experience with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and successful participation in NABL audits.
* Strong understanding of calibration processes, quality systems, and service operations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in using performance dashboards and reporting tools.
