				Overview:

SIG Sourcing is seeking an early career Technical Sales Engineer with an electrical engineering background or equivalent coursework. This role bridges the technical expertise of engineering with the commercial focus of sales. You will lead quoting efforts, act as the company's primary engineering contact, work directly with customer and factory engineers, and support the management of our quote and deal pipeline. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Location: Newburgh, NY

Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm

Salary Description: $75,000-$100,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Quoting and Proposals

  Review customer specifications, drawings, and requirements.

  Prepare accurate and competitive technical quotes for electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, PCBAs, and related products.

  Ensure proposals meet both technical standards and commercial objectives.

Customer and Supplier Engagement

  Serve as SIG's primary engineering contact for both customers and suppliers.

  Act as the company liaison for customers' design revisions, ensuring timely communication and resolution of technical issues.

  Address design-for-manufacturing considerations and resolve technical questions.

  Manage the sampling process, coordinating with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth prototype and sample builds.

  Support the sales team during customer meetings, calls, and presentations.

Pipeline Management

  Track and organize all quotes, proposals, and opportunities.

  Monitor deal status and ensure timely follow-up with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

  Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager and Sales leadership.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  Education:

o Bachelor's degree in engineering

o Significant coursework in Electrical Engineering

  Experience:

o 0-5 years of professional experience, internships, or co-op in electrical engineering, electronics, or manufacturing.

o Exposure to quoting, cost analysis & customer-facing engineering roles.

  Skills:

o Strong technical foundation in electrical and electronic assemblies.

o Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material and technical documentation.

o Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and some coding experience preferred.
